Zero Waste

Coconuts grow in more than 90 countries around the world. Coconut is a popular product and is used in various ways. Every year, millions of coconuts are processed into other products such as coconut oil or coconut milk. Many coconut shells, however, are discarded and burned as a waste product. This makes a significant contribution to the emission of CO2 and methane and the health of humans and animals. Together with our partner in Vietnam, we support local farmers by buying their coconut shells and give them a new life as a sustainable product that you can enjoy every day.

Handmade at the source

Our coconuts are harvested directly at the source in Ben Tre, also known as the Coconut Capital of Vietnam. Ben Tre is located in the Mekong Delta and has very favorable soil conditions for the growth of palm trees. Our coconut bowls and coconut candle holders are carved, designed, and handcrafted by our team of skilled artisans. For the local people, palm trees have a special place in their cultural and economic life, because the export of coconut products brings them great economic efficiency and local jobs.

Plant Ahead is an eco-friendly and fair start-up. We offer the best quality products for the best price, for everyone. Our Vietnamese partner and her team of artisans get paid two times as much compared to similar jobs for the incredible work they do. Together, we support local artisans in Vietnam and help to build a sustainable & fair future.
