What tips do you have for people who want to try out vegan food?

“We noticed that many people think that a vegan lifestyle is more expansive. It is true that seasonal vegan foods are expensive. This is because they require more time, energy and other resources to plant. Therefore, we want to share our vegan shopping tips with you guys:

  • Try meat alternatives from brands like Vivera, they offer reasonable prices
  • Shop items when items are on sale: every other supermarket in Amsterdam, vegan supermarkets in Amsterdam also have deals. The supermarket Vegabond, often has price reductions.
  • Cut down on processed foods: the reason why processed foods are expensive is because of all the industrial processes involved. Focus more on whole and organic vegan foods such as fruits and vegetables. Also go for beans, peas, nuts, and kale.”
